Marvel x Factorie is a multi-year collaboration that translates one of the world’s most recognisable entertainment IPs into contemporary streetwear. Each release leverages cultural moments within the Marvel universe to deliver product that resonates with both comic fans and a youth streetwear audience.

The Doomsday capsule explored a darker interpretation of Marvel — a pop-nihilistic take on the franchise centred on antiheroes and supervillains, heroing Doctor Doom and Silver Surfer.

The concept was shaped by two cultural reference points. The first was MF DOOM, whose work fused comic book imagery with underground hip-hop aesthetics through masked villain iconography and comic panel visuals. The second was the upcoming Fantastic Four film, reintroducing the Silver Surfer to a new generation of audiences and creating a timely cultural moment around the character.

From a design perspective, the capsule focused on graphic deconstruction and elevated fabrication. Iconic villain artwork was fragmented and reinterpreted through distressed prints, heavy washes and raw edge treatments, with base garment colours intentionally bleeding through graphics to create a worn, archival feel.

Across the range, artwork was further developed through bouclé embroidery, twill appliqué and stacked graphic techniques, transforming comic imagery into dimensional garment design.

I led the creative concept and personally designed all graphic executions across the range, translating the narrative direction into final product.

Deconstructed and elevated fabrications reframe Marvel’s villains and antiheroes.
